Heritage
To walk through Vadodara is to step into a living tapestry woven with vision, progress, and tradition. Its palaces, boulevards, and institutions are more than monuments; they are enduring reminders of a dynasty that believed in building for the future.

Ascending the throne as a young man, Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III became one of India’s most remarkable reformers. For him, progress meant more than power; it meant creating opportunities for his people. Education was his greatest gift. Institutions founded under his patronage nurtured future leaders such as Dadabhai Naoroji, Sri Aurobindo, and Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. It was during this era of ambition and reform that Indumati Palace was conceived, a palace that embodied both grandeur and purpose and stood as a symbol of cultural synthesis as well as inclusive celebration.
Indumati Palace with its soaring arches, acoustically refined courtyard, and lush peacock-filled gardens was a gathering place for all of Vadodara. A fusion between the East and the West, it took on multiple roles for the royal family. Witness to royal coronations, guest accommodation to famous personalities and friends of the royal families and then as an administrative office; the Indumati Palace wore many hats. Serving both crown and community, it mirrored the dual spirit of grandeur with purpose

A century ago, Princess Indumati Raje held this palace as a royal home that later became the centre of ceremony, celebration, and faith. Today, six stunning residential towers rise to envelop the Indumati Mahal which will act as the center piece of a mixed use development project that is rare in India. With sensitive restoration by world-class architects and discrete integration of contemporary comforts, we invite you to make Indumati Mahal a part of your home.
